What's the geography of Turks & Caicos?
The Turks and Caicos Islands are made up of 8 main islands as well as more than 200 smaller islands and cays. While Grand Turk is the capital, Providenciales is the most inhabited with a population of approximately 20,000. The majority of the hotels, tour operators, restaurants and infrastructure as well as Providenciales International airport are located here.

The main islands include Providenciales, affectionately known as Provo, Grand Turk, West Caicos, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, East Caicos, South Caicos and Salt Cay. All are inhabited with the exception of East Caicos, and West Caicos is limited to resort staff. All islands are accessible by sea or air. Daily domestic flights from Provo travel to Grand Turk, South Caicos and Salt Cay and daily ferries operate to North Caicos and Middle Caicos by way of North. Pine Cay and Parrot Cay are near to Providenciales and access is limited to resort guests and private home owners unless special permission is acquired in advance. Great daytime beach stops include Little Water Cay, also called Iguana Island, where you are sure to meet the indigenous rock iguana, Big Water Cay with the beautiful beach at Half Moon Bay, and a beachcomber’s dream at Pine Cay, Dellis Cay and Fort George Cay. There are many smaller islands and cays to explore by boat during your stay!

How do I get there?
